Privacy Policy
Effective August 28, 2026
Thumb Sumthing is a drawing game for private groups. The short version: we store only what the game needs to work, your content is visible only to your group, and we never sell data or run ads. There are no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
Who we are
Thumb Sumthing (ts.fbowl.io) is operated by Da Vida LLC (“we”). Questions about this policy: hello@fbowl.io.
What we collect
- Identity. The display name you choose and a random player ID kept in a cookie on your device. You can play as a guest with no email. We store an email address only if you give us one — by signing in with an emailed link or saving your spot.
- Age attestation. A timestamp recording when you attested that you are 18 or older. We do not collect or store your birthdate.
- Game content. Your drawings — recorded as stroke logs, the pen movements that replay them — plus your guesses, reactions, and when they happened, tied to your group.
- Usage events. Content-free analytics: event names, internal IDs, categories, and timings. What you drew or guessed never appears in these records.
- Abuse-prevention records. Short-lived counters keyed by network address, used to slow down link-guessing and other abuse. They contain no game content.
- Server logs. Our hosting providers keep standard, short-lived access logs (such as IP addresses) for operational purposes.
Cookies
We use a session cookie so the game knows who you are, and — if you tell us you are under 18 — a signed marker that keeps the gate closed on that device for about 30 days. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Who can see your content
Your group. Drawings, guesses, and reactions are visible only to members of the group they were made in; joining a group requires its link, the age gate, and explicit consent to join. There is no public feed, no discovery, and link previews sent to chat apps show generic branding only — never your content or names. We cannot control what members of your group do with content they can see, so play with people you trust.
Moderation
Group-private does not mean invisible to safety review. We may review specific content when it is reported to us, and in limited samples, to enforce our content rules and the law. We do not read your group’s content beyond that.
If you give us your email, we use it to send sign-in links and codes, and for messages about your account. We do not send marketing email and we do not share your address with anyone except the provider that delivers our mail.
Deleting your data
Email us at hello@fbowl.io from the address on your account (or with your group link, for guest identities) and we will delete your identity and unfinished content. Two carve-outs, stated plainly:
- Rounds your group already finished stay in that group’s archive — deletion removes your name from them rather than hollowing out the notebook your group built together. See the license terms in the Terms of Use.
- We keep what the law requires us to keep: material under a statutory preservation duty, an active legal hold or law-enforcement request, or an active safety investigation.
Children
Thumb Sumthing is for adults, 18 and over, only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; when we learn the age gate has been defeated, we terminate the account and purge its data, subject to the legal carve-outs above.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
